Long before Andrew Garfield donned his first pair of Spider-Man pajamas, the web-slinging hero made his live-action debut in 1974 on The Electric Company, an educational children’s television program on the PBS network. The iconic Marvel Comics character appeared in more than two dozen skits known as “Spidey Super Stories,” beginning with "Spidey Meets the Spoiler” (above) narrated by Morgan Freeman.
