Warner Bros. released director Dominic Sena’s thriller Whiteout on this date in 2009. The film, based on the eponymous four-issue comic series by Greg Rucka and Steve Lieber, centers around a murder investigation at the Amunsen–Scott South Pole Station in Antarctica and stars Kate Beckinsale, Tom Skerritt, Gabriel Macht, Columbus Short, and Alex O’Loughlin.
