For the first time ever, the campy escapades of the classic 1960s television series Batman will appear in comic book form with the launch of Batman ’66 from DC Comics. The Caped Crusader and the Boy Wonder will find themselves once again having to match wits (and fists) with the likes of the Joker, Catwoman, Penguin, the Riddler, Mr. Freeze, and other Gotham City ne’er-do-wells courtesy of writer Jeff Parker and artists Jonathan Case and Mike Allred. Mike Greenfield of The New York Post celebrates the new comic’s Wednesday release—and the show that inspired it—in a series of articles here, here, here, here, here, and here.
