Zombie apocaplypse meets higher education this fall at the University of California, Irvine’s newest course offering Society, Science, Survival: Lessons from AMC’s The Walking Dead. The free online class uses the show’s dystopian setting as a backdrop for examining a number of real world topics, including social order, infectious diseases, stress, and nutrition.
