Famed General Motors designer Chuck Jordan sits atop a prototype Corvette Batmobile for the 1960s Batman televsision series. Jordan was tapped to develop to the Caped Crusader’s ride in 1965, but the effort fell short of what the show’s producers had in mind. The job eventually went to custom car builder George Barris and the rest, as they say, is Bat-history.
