Tiny Threads

Patrick Cavanaugh garners some insights from Ant-Man costume designers Sammy Sheldon and Ivo Coveney regarding the development of the supersuit worn by actor Paul Rudd in the film:
“There’s a nostalgic quality to this suit, which will become clear in the film. It’s meant to look functional for its time,” describes Sheldon. “This was great to develop because one of the main things about this suit is that it’s meant to look totally functional. This is developed for its purpose. We had to make something that looks like it really works. Everything does light up, and it’s all totally functional.”
Meanwhile, Blair Marnell traces the evolution of Ant-Man’s attire in the comics.
